Innovation prize

We have recently demonstated our innovation capacity with a loading space improvement concept. Companies of the food industry often deal with special containers, which are not favourable in regard to logistics costs – not least because they must be transported back from the customer after use.

The task was therefore to enhance the efficiency of the return transports of these empty containers.

Thanks to the high commitment of our employees, we have achieved to develop a tailor-made solution to this problem. We have constructed a device that 14 empty containers can be placed under the ceiling of a trailer. Beneath remains enough space for a full truckload of product. Hereby, we are ready to cut down on every third tour back to North Rhine-Westphalia: It's a real benefit to efficiency and to our environment! The patented construction has allowed us not only to sustain our fleet, but even to enlarge it significantly during the last years. The innovation contributes essentially to maintain a competitive position in Aachen.

In this context, we are particularly proud of our nomination for the Innovation prize 2007 of the AGIT mbH (Aachener Gesellschaft für Innovation und Technologietransfer).
