Nature is our most important supplier. That is why we strive to be a sustainable, environmentally-friendly business. At the same time, we have the highest responsibilities to our customers with regard to food safety and quality. We source our fruits and other natural raw materials from suppliers all over the world. We have worked for many years with most of these proven partners.
Our environmental standards far exceed international legal requirements and we ensure that all our partners strictly adhere to these standards. To guarantee consistent high quality, we closely monitor our suppliers’ records on environmental and social issues. Likewise, we are subject to constant inspections by the relevant authorities and by our customers.
We constantly seek new technologies and processes to improve our product manufacturing.
The entire production process – from incoming goods to filling – is subject to strict and precise testing and hygiene regulations. We repeatedly and carefully test all raw materials and products during the various stages of production. Moreover, our in-house quality control efforts and production steps – everything from laser grading to x-ray inspection – are regarded as exemplary and ground-breaking in our sector. We annually achieve levels of distinction according to national and international BRC and IFS (International Food Standard, Higher Level) certification programs. In addition, we regularly undergo customer audits with comprehensive testing categories.
To make production processes more environmentally friendly, we strive to reduce our energy and water consumption. Likewise, we want to cut the amount of refuse and waste water we produce.
We absolutely oppose any kind of discrimination and exploitation, such as child labor, wage reduction or inhuman treatment. We expect our business partners to follow the same principles.
Because we want our business to be sustainable over the long term, we value open dialogue with customers and employees. We also are committed to our communities. In particular, this reflects our connection and ties to our traditional location in Aachen.
